After some timed passed, Dale's lifemate advised me that he was interested in my inheriting his trivia collections, including many pictures and memorabilia of Brenda Lee (some photos autographed), her entourage, shows, fans, and even some personal family photos.. I felt privileged, however, once all of it came to my door, I was a bit overwhelmed!
It has taken me months to go through and organize it, all the time contemplating what in the world I could do with all of this . . . and came to the conclusion a website would not only eulogize my friend, but also it would be a way to pay homage to Brenda Lee as well! It felt right for me to share his passion for rock 'n roll, especially fifties and Brenda Lee, and oh, so much more. Dale was the initial motivation for this website.
As with life, in the shadow of death . . . goes on. Since I designed (well, with templates) this website, I have lost a few more pretty special people in my life. As I was talking with the widow of my friend Deano, I was reading to her an introduction for a page here, to show respect to him, and keep his memory alive. She loves it and encouraged me to 'please' continue. We cried together. I wiped my tears, went for the kleenex box and my eyes glanced upon the top of the website page. It says, "Visions of the past" and the title of this website is 'bygone times'.
The ephiphany? It just all fits, to me. I think I will slowly populate this website with stories and memories of these special people in my life, who have crossed over. What a better way to go through the grieving period and at the same time keep their memory alive, for their own loved ones.
It just fits! So you may be seeing some changes around here. *smile*
